Happy Valentine’s day

love valentine

No, I have not forgotten you. Yes, I'm still here. But through this post, I wanted to wish you "a nice Valentine's Day."

Hold your hand, look you in the eye and tell you as much as possible, "I love you" as casually, this is important.

I'll tell you my story back in a few days, until I find the right words because it's not that simple.

And from the heart, soon ...

Kitchen: no loss of space

Here is one of the latest kitchens conducted by the agency in a Parisian two-piece. This is a small kitchen of 4.60 m². It is open to the living room by a bar. As would the automakers, it is over-equipped! Indeed, it hosts all the necessary elements (fridge, oven, hob ...) but also a dishwasher and a washing machine. And there is room for several cabinets.

Kitchen: no loss of space

The angle between two worktops is usually lost when the kitchen is U-shaped as is the case on our plan. But two tricks have allowed us to fully optimize the available space without losing any storage in corners.

Kitchen: no loss of space

  • The first angle (in blue) is occupied by a technical sheath. He had to put it somewhere and this is where it bothers us the least.
  • The second angle (red) hides a closet that is accessible from the living room. While the volume is usable.

Kitchen: no loss of space

Here is another kitchen in which we used the same way these two tips: In the blue corner we have placed the hot water tank that feeds the kitchen and bathroom. In the red corner cupboard accessible from the living.

 Kitchen: no loss of space

In this photo you can see the shuttering of the hot water tank, right, behind the refrigerator and the door concealed storage behind the plant left.

A sailor loft attic

A sailor loft attic

Hello. It all started with a heart for this lovely house located in a small alley, close to the harbor and boats. It is by taking the beautiful spiral staircase that accesses the Loft Seaman the second and top floor of The Sailor House because originally it was a attic attic. The partitions were shot to keep only a single set  which gave birth to this small loft of 33 m2 ideal for lovers. The farms of the frame, left visible, in very good condition, inspired me to create the overall atmosphere of the apartment where metal and wood come together to give the whole industry a vintage feel. The arrangement of spaces was simply dictated by the arrivals / water evacuation and already existing skylights.

In one corner of the loft, a waist-high wall, topped with a raw metal canopy was designed for the bathroom to ensure a minimum of privacy while maintaining the benefits of the through light from roof windows.

A sailor loft attic

The walls were entirely tiled subway tiled and the floor covered with small black mosaic.  The "under roof" ceiling was painted in pale gray. A large walk-in shower was constructed and closed in a simple glass door without frame to always keep this notion of transparency.

An old established acts bathroom cabinet. Pickled and planed, it was covered with a protective varnish and customized with an old enamel plate.

 A sailor loft attic

In the other corner, next to the bathroom, was positioned the "room" area with a large bed 160 * 200 topped by a long white wooden board on which some books, an old model boat and other marine objects.

A sailor loft attic

As a bedside, I asked my carpenter to charge 2 large blocks of solid wood depicting the natural color of the wood beams of the frame.

A great old trunk, a few hooks and baskets complete the decoration.

Opposite is the kitchen area.

A sailor loft attic

A former industrial cloakroom, recycled dresser, was the starting point for the construction of the work plan. Fixed on gypsum blocks, it was covered  black mosaic along the sideboard.

2 old wall Jielde a TESTUT balance and 2 old crates "Chicory Leroux" complete this set.

In the dining area, have found wood and metal in unison: a high table (metal tube feet aged underlying a wooden tray (always in the same colors as above) and 2 high chairs in assorted metal .

Pumpkin cake fondant icing vanilla cream cheese

Pumpkin cake fondant icing vanilla cream cheese

For three weeks now we have returned to work and timetable of the company is really in charge. But this year I decided not to let myself be overwhelmed by fatigue and the pressure of rehearsals and performances. After a summer in France super resourceful, I wanted to devote more time to my passion for cooking. When I'm eating, I do not think the concerns and really disconnects. If you also for cooking is a means of relaxation, so do not hesitate to turn on your oven and leave your ingredients! You will see that to make this cake you'll need all your concentration and you no longer think the annoyances of work. I am convinced that with a time of food a day, you earn a bit of happiness in everyday life. It's worth a try, right?

I also decided that I would try to push the negative thoughts assailing me often. The first thing that struck me when I cut the cake is that it was unappetizing ... Except that once I tasted it, I realized it was one of the best cakes ever eaten.

Pumpkin cake fondant icing vanilla cream cheese

It is thanks to my ballet master José that I achieved this wonder. It has a garden and brought me back a piece of its ecological pumpkin. I had one desire was to make a cake for dessert pumpkin are among my favorites. The memories of my pumpkin cupcakes, cheesecake of my or my gingerbread Pumpkin put me mouth water ...

Here is my "cake fondant pumpkin", straddling a far, a pudding and carrot cake. Honey and spices give it a fall flavor. Do not omit especially the frosting, it suits him so well!

Pumpkin cake fondant icing vanilla cream cheese

10 people (or a mold of 20 × 30 cm), you will need:

  • Pumpkin flesh 450g, fresh
  • 70g soft salted butter
  • peanut butter 70g
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid vanilla flavor
  • 1 pinch of gingerbread spice
  • 1 teaspoon full of cinnamon coffee
  • 180g of blond cane sugar
  • liquid Chestnut honey 150g
  • 250g of flour
  • 100g raisins
  • 1 handful chopped walnuts

For the icing:

  • philadelphia cheese 200g
  • 100g icing sugar with vanilla sugar 15g
  • 50g soft salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder of coffee or the seeds of half vanilla

Pumpkin cake fondant icing vanilla cream cheese

Preheat oven to 180 ° C, convection.

Cook the pumpkin with a little water in the microwave for 5 minutes. Drain it and blend the flesh to get mashed.

Mix the butter with the sugar and honey. Add egg, spices and pumpkin. Add the flour, spices, raisins and nuts. Pour batter into a mold lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-30 minutes. If desired melting like the pictures, 20 minutes will do. For a firmer consistency, leave it in the oven 30 minutes.

Let the cake cool completely before putting in the fridge overnight.

Prepare the icing: mix the cheese with the softened butter, sugar and vanilla. The mixture should be smooth. Book frosting cool.

To serve, spread the icing on the cake and smooth it with a trowel. You can then decorate with marzipan figurines, walnuts ...

Pumpkin cake fondant icing vanilla cream cheese

Cut the fondant into small squares because it is not a light cake ... but if you like cakes that stick to the palace, you will enjoy ;-)

Pumpkin cake fondant icing vanilla cream cheese

Well and in conclusion I would say if preparing this cake has allowed me to disconnect, enjoy it and share it not given me that satisfaction. Especially since it freezes well and that you will keep well for several weeks!

Enjoy your meal :-)

Mission 31: Wash your shower curtain

Mission 31: Wash your shower curtain

Wet every day, casually pulled a barely open eye in the morning ... the shower curtain is a tourist attraction and is too often forgotten.

I do not like the plastic curtains that take the bad habit of sticking to you when you want to enjoy a moment of intimacy. With any luck, they tear before small molds begin to sting. You then replace it very easily.

I like coated fabrics. They are chic ... but require more maintenance. So today, we pick up the shower curtain, slip it in the washing machine (short program, low temperature) and is a rinse of white vinegar for limestone. Shaken, it hangs alone and dry!

Duration of the operation: 5 minutes for the win and 5 minutes to hang ...

Granola way & quot; matcha latte & quot; (Video recipe)

Granola matcha 6

The matcha latte this is definitely my favorite hot beverage (with a good cappuccino course). I have abused in Japan, and I brought all kinds of matcha tea to prepare me home. Nothing is easier, especially if you own a bamboo whisk, the Chasen, and a milk frother :-)

If you like the combination of matcha with milk, you'll fans desserts matcha that contain an ingredient to taste milk, like my cheesecake or my pannacotta Matcha, Matcha my cookies and white chocolate or this delicious granola, directed with some sweetened condensed milk.

Here is the video of my recipe on YouTube:

Granola matcha 2

I did not know that the sweetened condensed milk could give as much crisp with granola. The texture is perfect! But what I like the most is the resulting flavor. You really feel the condensed milk and it's great. Fans did you get well, you can eat cereals Nestlé Berlingots taste! If it is not regressive so what is it?

You can not put matcha, or replace it with cocoa powder, or Ricoré ... you see if you are really prepared to back to childhood ;-)

Granola matcha 1

Eat this granola is like biting into a KitKat Matcha, only better: there are nuts and dried fruit and cocoa beans ... The fun does not stop!

Granola matcha 5

Here is the recipe for a large glass jar or 8 bowls:

175g rolled oats (gluten intolerant for)

sweetened condensed milk 170g

1 C.S matcha tea

1 C.S. liquid vanilla

100g hazelnuts and almonds

100g dried fruit (cranberries and chokeberry)

50 to 100g of cornflakes

25g of organic cocoa beans

Preheat oven to 170 °. Mix the flakes with sweetened condensed milk and matcha tea. Add hazelnuts and almonds, then spread the mixture on a plate lined with baking paper and bake for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes remove the plate and stir the granola, put it in the oven for about 7 minutes.

Granola matcha 8

Remove the granola from the oven, let it cool then add the cornflakes and dried fruit.

Granola matcha 7

Stir well and store in an airtight jar.

 Granola matcha 3

Granola matcha 4

The granola is very crisp and you get big chunks thanks to condensed milk, which sticks together flakes :-) Convenient to peck between repetitions!

A mountain refuge, 55m2 redevelop …

55m2 for 8 persons in Les Menuires ?! How to redevelop this ski apartment in Savoy retaining its 8 beds, creating a second bathroom, increasing more the surface of the living room? The owners of this small space appealed to the agency H2O Architects.

A mountain refuge, 55m2 redevelop ...

Tips H2O Architects:

"A wide wooden curve crosses the entire space. It brings together all the functions, to generate a large living space and towards the panoramic mountain views. "

A mountain refuge, 55m2 redevelop ...In this cabinet-wall curved nest both a reading area, storage space, the bunk beds, seating ... Everything fits together to allow more space in the center of the room and fluidity of movement. A central curtain allows different times of the day to privatize sleep and relaxation areas. All in a contemporary style wooden light-colored birch plywood for interior spaces and American walnut plywood to the curved wall.

Cream of pumpkin with gruyere cheese and port wine

The pumpkins link again in their nose radius vegetables and I'm thrilled :-)

I can finally make my favorite soup, with my pressure cooker.

My version of today with grated cheese, cream and a touch of port, for more than velvety soup ...

Cream of pumpkin with gruyere cheese and port wine

Add the pumpkin, then add the port. Leave sweat before adding the broth, herbs and spices. Close the pressure cooker and cook for 5 minutes after the whistle, or 20-25 minutes to the traditional casserole.

The pumpkin is tender. Add the cream and cheese and mix everything with a hand blender.

The decor is my passion!

5. 450jpg.jpg

4-450.jpgHello, here is a little bit of my house: I'm passionate about Deco in Gustavian style and in general everything in the old world charm. At the beginning I started to hunt for pieces of furniture and after, with a little bit of paint and elbow grease I realized these patinas who me so expensive. Simply by sanding, putting a layer of acrylic mat, and after re-sanding to bring out the patterns carved furniture. All this, decorated with flowers, garlands, pictures and other romantic items that form a very peaceful atmosphere in my eyes. To make the garlands I used printed paper in sheet music, I have cut out heart-shaped and after I have tied together with string.

The headboard lamps were made from scraps of wooden pallets, also skated with a simple electrical system bought at DIY store and lampshades Toile.
Side colors in my design I have a penchant for gray, red, beige, moles, softness but still with a bit of contrast which reports all. Decorative elements are the hearts, garlands and busts that predominate to harmonize everything in a charming romantic spirit. And here, I hope you like it! Vali

200 m2 fully open-plan to reunite the family

Hello, we revisited a stylish and creative breath inside the initially standard of a house built by a builder. We have redesigned the living space in our image to meet our main desire: to feel always together everywhere. In the end, 200 m2 entirely open plan which stretch gently and seamlessly over four half-levels, a set-loft where stone and wood are combined with refinement and sobriety.

200 m2 fully open-plan to reunite the family

200 m2 fully open-plan to reunite the family

200 m2 fully open-plan to reunite the family

On one level, the kitchen ad the colors and materials of choice of our habitat: white and gray, wood and stone. Large tiled slabs, an island of central work and cabinets wooden storage: one natural color, white matt lacquered seconds. A place where the gaze runs into any obstacles. The reign of translucent, uncompromising opacity: rows of large glass doors leading to the terrace and garden, large fully transparent railings for the stairs, the living area and dining games against above.

From the kitchen to the upper floors, wood takes definitively possession of the soil: parquet semi-solid bleached oak adds a touch of warmth and friendliness to environmental well-being. Furnishings skillfully denigrates massive: never impose, by subtly playing colors and materials, it decorates and dresses places of simplicity and lightness. The third level is facetious: Kingdom dedicated to our children, it definitely shows a kindly spirit and mischievous prank. Here and there, a few white notes. Embedded in a joyously extroverted palette of blues, greens and oranges splashing freshness and vivacity rooms of our boys.

In the middle, an en suite explosive merrily wife this beautiful colorful delirium: bubbly and fun while being functional (walk-in shower, bath and intelligent storage furniture), it sounds an early wake thunderous, full of energy and 'by train. Karim
