For a little more than twenty years, Johannes Lingenhel moderated his good humor Naschmarkt, the Vienna market. It urged them to provide cheeses, wines and local produce on its well-stocked stand by small producers, local artisans and nearby farms. Just a few months Johannes leaves the market and moved into the old city, rich with a book well-filled and duly verified suppliers over the years and collaborations. Housed in a listed building dating from 1795, inhabited at the time by the novelist Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach, Lingenhel is a hybrid place that welcomes, along with the unique factory refining cheeses of the city, grocery store fine, a tasting bar, a restaurant and a space for cooking classes.

A refined and authentic decoration

The law firm of architects destilat signed a sleek, minimalist but warm, perfectly reflecting the elegant and natural simplicity sought by Johannes Lingenhel. The spaces in sequence, without encountering different. The grocery store, wearing a rare Austrian soil terrazzo, hosts a custom butcher's block and a huge wooden deli and black granite with gold streaked. The bar shows the wood-granite association and opens to the intimate restaurant run by star chef Daniel Hoffmeister, housed in the former stables. Its seasonal cuisine is heavily Mediterranean-inspired nevertheless assumes its cheese accents and guests savor burrata with elderberries, yogurt or cheese medley, all ... from the next room, the 'maturing plant, partitioned glass
